If you want to learn paragliding in India or just go tandem paragliding, Nirvana Adventures is the place. The hotel is located near Kamshet Lonavala, about two and a half hours from Mumbai, Nirvana has grown from its humble beginnings in 1997 with the oldest and best paragliding school in the country. About 300 students from all over the world learn paragliding there every year. Increasingly, many from India.
The fact that Nirvana adventures were pioneers in the industry and is the only paragliding school in India to be certified ISO 9001-2008 (an internationally recognized standard for quality management) really stand out from the others.
But what the owner Sanjay Rao and Astrid have something special and unique, created even more - the ability, the glider with a relaxing stay in the countryside and village life in his native Serenity Place Guest House to combine. How it all began
The idea of Nirvana Adventures was created when a friend of Goa Sanjay reached Kamshet in search of the best paragliding. It is not only a great website, but was found Sanjay passion paragliding (much more than I was about his career as an engineer). There were problems, however: the glider was unknown, and many villagers disapprove of the use of the land. But the man who possessed the land, a farmer named uncle Shelar (the site was named after the name) was friendly and supportive. He understood the positive aspects, and it was his dream that one day his son to participate in a position in the business.
It soon became clear that the villagers had a surprisingly detailed for the local meteorological conditions, so that they were well-founded knowledge. The son of a farmer, a quiet little town, religiously visited the paragliding spot a teacher and tandem pilot is now highly respected. Three trainers Nirvana are the waiters who observed the glider in the area since they were children. Planners began packing and transport for the people. Safety program and training
Nirvana Paragliding School follows the training program for British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA) with a detailed program. Over the years, Astrid (who is dyslexic, it's true) took the time and effort to improve education, to make it as easy and understandable as possible for people.
Security is an important first point in the school. The teachers are very strict, what the students should get flight experience before they are allowed to fly other universities and, thus visible results. Flying is allowed only under ideal weather conditions, and the team holds and used in accordance with international standards. Personal take a first aid course Emergency First Response twice a year and check the first weekly care kit.
Types of courses
Nirvana Adventures offers an introductory course two days, three days of golf courses elementary four-day test driver, and five days golf club driver. All courses are residential, provided with room and board at the inn kindergarten playground. In addition, a tandem flight for periods of 10 minutes to 30 minutes are available. The season runs from October to the end of May each year.
