Govinda Festival Mumbai Photos

The festival commemorates the birthday of Lord Govinda Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Vishnu. The highlight of the festival, which takes place on the second day (Janmashtami), Dahi Handi is. This is where the clay pots with butter, curd and money connected to the building. Young men, called "Govinda", form a human pyramid and compete for the pots and achieve open.
