Top Mumbai Navratri Dandiya Garba 2013 Events

Dust the Dandiya sticks and suits for ghagra Choli Navratri is here and it's time to dance! Mumbai has a large Gujarati population, when the festival is widely celebrated with huge dance shows with live bands and singers. The shows will be held in each of the nine nights of Navratri 5 to 13 October-2013.

This year there were major changes in the events and places in the city. Falguni Pathak famous singer (affectionately known as "Dandiya Queen") is at a new location in the Plaza de Armas of the police in the eastern suburb of Ghatkopar, instead of the usual location in Goregaon West. Unfortunately, this causes the Jain Jagruti Centre to cancel the event 15 years in the hockey land in Ghatkopar, due to concerns about the fierce competition.

Other places where celebrations occur on a large scale:
