GSB Seva Mandal Ganesh is affectionately known as the Golden Ganesh in Mumbai known. Yes, it is pure gold, decorated ago - 60 pounds of it! The Mandal to be often said, the richest in the city, was of the municipality Oro Saraswat Brahmins of Karnataka in 1954, it flourished founded in Mumbai and as a mark of respect for the city, the implementation of various social programs with a high festival of Ganesh .
The idol is always green, made of clay. The Mandal also differs because there is nothing it is usual recorded music. In contrast, traditional Indian instruments are played in South Indian temples.

- Opening times: The Ganesh idol is that in the first five days of the festival, so the view at first.
- 2014 Theme: The Mandal celebrates her Diamond Jubilee (50 years) this year. A garland of classical Vyjayanthimala was made of large and small Ganpati idols, on the Mugdal Purana. It is carved from 3 kg to 5 kg of gold and silver, and is said to be worth Rs 96 lakh.
