The Indo-gothic designed St. Paul's Cathedral, located at the southern end of the Maidan Kolkata, it took eight years to build and was completed in 1847, was the first Episcopal Church of the East.
That almost completely in 1897 and another in 1934 destroyed that led to the fall of the tower - the church has survived two earthquakes.
