Dust the Dandiya sticks and suits for ghagra Choli Navratri is here and it's time to dance! Mumbai has a large Gujarati population, when the festival is widely celebrated with huge dance shows with live bands and singers.
The shows will be held in each of the nine nights of Navratri place from 25 October September 3, 2014.
Three of the biggest and best parties are:
- Rangeela Raas Garba, Goregaon Sports Club. Falguni Pathak famous singer (affectionately known as "Dandiya Queen") is placed in its ordinary Goregaon. It will be carried out on the nine nights. Day tickets cost 500-750 rupees. Tickets are available online here.
- Naidu Club facility Kora Kendra, Borivali West. This event is happening dramatically in the 10 years this year and on a large scale. There are daily Garba dance competitions with cash prizes. Day tickets cost 360 Rs 600 and can be ordered online here.
- Carnival Rass Jalsa, JVPD Ground, Juhu. A fusion of traditional Garba Bollywood dandiya with style. Among the artists Bhoomi Trivedi and Rahul Vaidya. Day tickets cost 400 rupees. Buy your tickets online.
